| A 1983 Beaver 30-foot motorhome with new curtains, upholstery and 2 new leather captain’s chairs and sleeper sofa. The 454 Chevy engine needs an intake manifold gasket and don’t have the funds to pay the $1,000 repair cost or $2,000 for a rebuilt and guaranteed long block engine as a retiree. Also possible to convert to a diesel if desired. Auto transmission works great. Has all new tires (8 x 19.5) including the spare, plus a new pillow-top mattress on the double bed. Of course, a Beaver has all REAL oak wood cabinets and paneling, and all on-board appliances are in excellent operating condition – Dometic propane-electric refrigerator, 4-burner propane stove, combination microwave/convection/sensor oven, 2 roof A/Cs, and a gasoline 7K Onan generator. Power is 50 or 30 amp (only necessary to use 50 when in desert to run both A/Cs). While fulltime RVing until medical issues forced us to stop, 50-amp electricity in RV camp for several months averaged under $50/month. Has a new Carefree awning and Add-A-Room is available (see separate add). All expected Beaver features work – stability jacks, 65-gal fresh water tank, air bags on front suspension, H/D cooling system w/backup radiator-fan (makes driving through mountains a breeze), even an air compressor! Don’t want to part it out (even though I can get much more $$ if I do), but this is a great home on the road for a retired or young couple and would prefer to sell at a loss to someone who can maintain and enjoy this classic. They don’t make motorhomes like this anymore! |
