Description:
Hi folks...we're looking into swapping our home equity (valued at around 110,000) for a Toy Hauler and MDT/HDT. W'ed prefer a fairly new 40 or so footer. Our home is single level cedar sided, 1600 square feet, slab, two car attached and finished garage, 3 bedroom, 2 bath on a heavily shaded half acre in-town lot. There are wood veneered floors throughout, 3 skylites, wet bar, lots of closet space, fireplace/gaslogs, large vaulted great room, fenced backyard, outside storage building, a covered, screened and tiled patio with stainless grill and hot tub, pet door, private drive, and more. Low energy consumption, well insulated, thermopane windows. Roof is 5 years old, new chimney veneer, exterior paint, interior paint, attic vent fan, hot water heater. Washer/dryer, refrigerator 5 years old. Our home is located at 202 Randomwood Lane in River Bend, eastern NC. River Bend ( http://www.ci.river-bend.nc.us/ ) is a beautiful, quiet, crime free waterfront community with marina, clubhouse, golfcourse, pool, police/fire/rescue services, and much more. There is water access through the Trent and Neuse rivers to the ocean. The town of River Bend is located approximately five miles south of New Bern (the colonial capital of NC http://www.ci.new-bern.nc.us/ ) just off Hiway 17S, the coastal hiway. New Bern is the native home of Blackbeard and Pepsi Cola, if you remember. New Bern will also host the upcoming Harley Dealer's Association Spring Rally this May...moving from Myrtle Beach this year http://www.chdda.com/events/beachrally.html . Eastern NC is a moderate climate, all seasons area....snow and ice are rare and short lived here. Our home is convenient to everything. This geographical area of North Carolina is a sportsman's paradise. Absolutely great hunting, fishing, boating, golf (River Bend, Taberna, Fairfield Harbour, Carolina Pines, Quaker Neck, Minnesot, Brandywine, and many more), and beaches galore (less than an hour to Atlantic Beach). There are two large military bases nearby....Cherry Point and Camp LeJeune. Residence county is Craven ( http://www.cravencounty.com/ ) and zip is 28562. http://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=River Bend&state=NC&address=202 Randomwood Lane&zipcode=28562 This swap will be turn key for you....all furniture, appliances, tool boxes, tools, riding mower with bagger and all other yard maintenance items, big screen TV, stereo system, and quite a few antiques will convey.....we'll only remove our personal items.....May be able to add or remove certain items to better match values (4wd suburban, custom dually, and jeep available). The High school within 5 miles. ECU less than an hour away in Greenville. Excellent medical centers and hospital ( http://www.cravenhealthcare.org/main.htm ) within 10 miles. Ocean and inner banks around 40 miles east. The Outer Banks ( http://www.outerbanks.org/ ) just a short drive and ferry ride away. Suddenlink cable/phone/broadband. The neighbors and neighborhood are great. So, if you've been considering coming off the road and are ready to settle in a very nice area, we're just about ready to hit the road and enjoy the wonderful sights and sounds of America for a few years. My wife Cathy is presently retired and I'll be able to retire after May of this year. Home balance would be around 130K. I have an assumable VA loan. Real estate prices in this area have only lost an average of around 6-7%....the New Bern area is one of North Carolina's fastest growing resort spots. In addition, both of our military communities are expanding dramatically with incoming aircraft systems and support personnel and their families. The local communities are prospering. The wife and I want to full time for about five years or so before relocating to the Virginia Beach area to be nearer to our son and his family.
